Fruitsnacks and JustBite, suppliers of nutritious snacks for businesses, are joining forces with their competitors and entering into a structural partnership. Thanks to this collaboration, they can offer businesses a wide-ranging selection of nutritious snacks. Young entrepreneurs Roel Paesmans (Fruitsnacks) and Aitor Somers & Kevin Ringoot (JustBite) are working together to build healthier workplaces.
A wide-ranging, nutritious offering for employees
Fruitsnacks has been supplying fruit at work since 2006, making it the first in the Benelux to introduce this concept. JustBite has been providing a more nutritious alternative to less healthy snacks at work since 2018. A complementary offering, with the same goal: creating a healthier workplace with healthier employees.
"Companies increasingly want to do more to keep their employees healthy and happy. In the war for talent, they want to make a real difference. So we're seeing more and more companies expand their wellbeing offering as much as possible: with fruit at work and nutritious snacks. When our partners ask for something, we listen." says Roel Paesmans, managing director of Fruitsnacks.
A partnership between pioneers
Both the Fruitsnacks and JustBite teams are made up of ambitious young entrepreneurs striving to create healthier workplaces. Fruitsnacks proudly holds the title of Limburg SME of the Year, and JustBite co-founder Kevin Ringoot took home the JCI Award for East Flanders in 2022.
"There was an instant click between Fruitsnacks and JustBite. We're both working towards healthier breaks at work. One plus one equals three: by joining forces, we now offer a more complete range, while each keeping our own focus and expertise, without losing any speed." says Aitor Somers, co-founder of JustBite.
Beyond the drive of these entrepreneurs and their shared goal, both companies place great value on sustainable business practices. The importance of a sustainable approach keeps growing for individuals and businesses alike. Fruitsnacks and JustBite both work continuously towards the United Nations' SDGs. Fruitsnacks grows its own apples and pears using biodynamic methods, and relies on green energy throughout every stage of production. JustBite consistently chooses plant-based snacks and more sustainable snack packaging.
Wellbeing and health at work remain essential
Making workplaces healthier in a sustainable way — that's what Fruitsnacks and JustBite will keep working on. Through their story, they want to inspire businesses to become the best possible employer for their staff. Companies that invest in the wellbeing of their employees don't just come out stronger in the war for talent — they also build loyal teams. Nutritious snacks lead to healthier, more motivated and more productive employees.
About Fruitsnacks
Fruitsnacks is a family business run by the Paesmans family from Nieuwerkerken. For over 15 years, they've been delivering fresh fruit to businesses — to more than 3,800 companies across the Benelux and Germany. The family business is proud to say the apples and pears in their fruit baskets come from their own orchards. They also offer Logofruit®, Fruittaps and soups. This enterprising family places great value on sustainable business practices, environmentally friendly growing methods, and supporting good causes.
About JustBite
Break by break, JustBite is working towards a healthier world. Together with a nutrition expert, they developed a method to individually screen every snack. This helps businesses that don't have the knowledge, time or expertise to do it themselves. Their flavourful snacks contain only nutritious, natural ingredients. Snacks that are good for you and the planet. JustBite is active in the Benelux, Germany and the Nordics, and over the past 3 years has already created more than 3.5 million healthier breaks for over 2,000 employers.
