We hand it over to intern Sofie, who shares her internship experience at JustBite:
Finding an internship during COVID-19 seemed like a huge challenge, until I contacted JustBite. Phew! Kevin was able to offer me an internship and guidance along the way. After a fun welcome package and introduction, I was ready to dive right in. Today, two and a half months later, the internship has come to an end.
Every week, I got to know JustBite a little better. Over the past period, I learned a lot about how things work behind the scenes at JustBite. I also got the chance to learn about SEO & SEA, Facebook advertising, email marketing, and more. Kevin even gave me access to an online digital marketing course.
Projects were planned and tracked through an online board. Alongside the projects Kevin suggested, I could also propose projects I wanted to work on myself. So this was definitely an internship with a varied range of tasks!
During this period, it was a challenge to work from home every day. We never even met each other in person. Because of this, I learned to work independently, although I sometimes missed the social contact with colleagues.
Every morning, we held a team call so everyone knew what everyone else was working on. It was also interesting to exchange ideas with the other interns about our projects, so we could hear each other's perspectives and learn from one another. There was also a fixed weekly one-on-one catch-up with Kevin. In between, Kevin was always available for questions or feedback. It was great that the interns' input was always taken into account, which made you feel truly valued as an intern.
