The time has come. After 13 fascinating and eye-opening weeks, my internship at JustBite is almost over. Because of COVID-19, finding an internship wasn't exactly plain sailing, until I ended up at JustBite. I thought it was a brilliant concept, and after the first conversation, I'd already decided I wanted to gain my first work experience here. Luckily, there was still a spot open for me on the sales and marketing team, and I soon got the happy news that I could start at JustBite.
On my first day, Noor and I were welcomed with open arms by Kevin and Aitor. We also got a lovely gift box full of more nutritious snacks and fun gadgets. I felt at home straight away, and like a valued member of the team. In other words, a great start to an even better period ahead!
Throughout my internship, I learned an enormous amount and picked up plenty of new insights. My tasks were mostly sales-related, since that's what I preferred. I got to know every step of the sales process and even carry them out myself. This often meant working with new tools and processes, which was sometimes a challenge. Luckily, I could always count on excellent guidance.
Besides sales, I also learned a lot about various other things. I got to sit in on numerous meetings, helped optimise the website and set up the end-of-year campaigns, carried out plenty of qualitative research, followed digital marketing training, and so much more. So my tasks were certainly varied, and I didn't have a dull moment!
For the first few weeks, it was still possible to be physically present at the office, until corona put a stop to that. Although that was a real shame, we made the best of it and things went pretty smoothly. Thanks to the daily stand-up, we kept functioning as a close-knit team, and communication remained excellent! Kevin and Aitor were also always reachable whenever I had questions or something wasn't clear. In short, the guidance and follow-up were spot on, which I really appreciated! On top of that, our opinions were always taken into account, and we were given a lot of responsibility, which I thought was a huge plus.
Finally, I'd like to thank Kevin and Aitor for the many educational weeks and great moments. I've grown as a person, learned so much, and can look back on a fantastic internship experience. I think you're both real top blokes and wish you all the success in the world going forward. So here's a big THANK YOU!!!
