We let intern Lotte share her internship experience at JustBite:
The year 2020, who would have ever thought it would turn out like this? The Covid-19 crisis has caused a lot of changes worldwide, which made my internship period different than planned. Normally, I would have worked for 13 weeks at Kinepolis in Kortrijk. Unfortunately, this internship was cut short and I had to look for a new internship place. Through my classmate and friend Femke, who works as a student employee at JustBite, I ended up at the start-up of Kevin Ringoot. I received the good news that I could start working here and join their marketing team!
I was warmly welcomed at JustBite with a tasty, healthy snack box and an interesting book called ‘The Online Marketing Tornado’ from the Internet Marketing Union. Thanks to this welcome package, I started with great enthusiasm and was able to get acquainted with the products the company offers right away.
This 4-week internship period completely exceeded my expectations. I got a good combination of both digital and communication marketing tasks. These assignments were complemented by interesting webinars that we interns had the opportunity to attend. I learned more about keyword analysis, SEO & SEA, email marketing, growth marketing, and much more! These educational online sessions were given by experts with great knowledge in their field. Furthermore, Kevin gave the interns access to the Internet Marketing Union - Academy. Thanks to following these lessons and trainings, I gained knowledge that I could immediately apply in real life.
Despite working from home, I had a valuable internship experience. Thanks to daily calls with the team, everyone was informed about each other’s personal tasks. Kevin guided us well as interns and taught us more about the ins and outs of the profession. He gave us the freedom to brainstorm and help think about JustBite’s future plans. Our opinions and advice were valued, which gave us interns a sense of appreciation.
In short, I am glad I was able to immerse myself in the world of JustBite for 4 weeks and look back on a valuable internship. Thank you, Kevin, for giving me this opportunity!
