Get inspired with these 12 ideas for welcome gifts:
1. Relevant book
Learning is key! The purpose of offering an internship is that you want the intern to have learned a lot by the end. That they have been introduced to the business world and feel ready for the job market. At least, that’s how Kevin - the founder of JustBite - sees it.
In this context, our interns received a book aligned with the tasks they will be performing. We currently have 3 interns on board who want to learn more about digital marketing.
We gave them The Online Marketing Tornado - The blueprint for a thriving online business.

2. Healthy snacks
In our case… a no-brainer, but have you thought about gifting a box full of healthy snacks? Healthy snacks help maintain energy levels and concentration. The snacks are carefully selected based on their composition and are also super tasty (win-win).
3. Valuable training
Invest in the process of continuously educating interns. This not only benefits the intern but will also pay off for your company.
With us, every intern got access to the full Internet Marketing Union - Academy.
Think about the content of the internship and the goals the intern wants to achieve, then suggest a suitable training.
4. A fitness or sports club membership
Under the motto "a healthy mind in a healthy body." If you, as an employer, pay attention to the well-being of your employees, this will lead to better performance and higher productivity.
Is the intern doing a 4-month internship? Gift them a 4-month fitness or sports club membership nearby.

5. Extensive breakfast
Imagine... it’s your first day at work. You arrive at the company where you will intern with a lot of excitement. You are welcomed by your internship supervisor, given a tour, and introduced to colleagues. Then you are assigned a desk, a desk full of treats to start the day... 😍
Find a local retailer who can provide these for you.
6. Headphones or earbuds
A must for weekly meetings or conference calls.
7. Water bottle
A reusable water bottle is a real must-have in the office. Moreover, it is good for the environment. A trendy water bottle encourages drinking water to stay hydrated throughout the day. Drinking enough water boosts metabolism and improves concentration and short-term memory.
8. Power bank
"Battery almost empty." Everyone recognizes this phrase. Nothing is more annoying than that... No one likes an empty battery, so this gift will definitely be used. Power banks are becoming more advanced and include more options. Try to approach this creatively and add your own "branded touch" to it.

9. Branded T-shirt/sweater
Give a personalized sweater as a gift with your company name/company logo so the intern immediately feels welcome in the team. Your employees, as well as your interns, are ambassadors of your company. In companies like Google, for example, employees wear branded sweaters because they are proud to work for their employer.
10. Internship survival kit
Create your own survival kit to help the intern survive their first day. You can assemble this kit as you like, for example by adding office supplies such as pens (printed with the company logo), post-its, notebooks, but also coins, lip balm... It’s nice to add handwritten post-its with a fitting message.
By adding a personal touch to your gift, employees feel more appreciated.
11. Bluetooth speakers
Bluetooth speakers are easy to take anywhere and can connect to various devices. Singing loudly along with music in the shower, a yoga session before going to sleep…
12. VR headset
Would you like to position yourself as an innovative and creative internship company? Then a VR headset is an ideal gift. Let your intern work from a tropical island or prefer a secluded workspace? It’s all possible with the app. Breakroom you can fully determine your own workspace. But of course, you can’t be on edge all the time. The VR headset also offers many ways to relax: exercising, gaming...
There! We hope to have inspired you with fun and innovative gift ideas to truly welcome your interns! Which one is your favorite? We look forward to hearing about them in the comments below.
Good luck!

Let’s do this, ladies 🙌
Sofie van der Ha
Sofie (25) is a postgraduate student in Digital Marketing Communication at Artevelde University College in Ghent. She is doing an internship from April to June and will provide support in digital marketing during this period. We will immerse her in the wonderful world of online ads, Search Engine Optimization, Conversion Rate Optimization, content marketing… and much more!

- What does your ideal break moment look like? 10 minutes of abdominal exercises
- What is your favorite snack? As a snack, I like to eat blueberries; I really enjoy them.
- Why did you choose JustBite for your internship? On the one hand, I was attracted by the varied range of tasks; no two days are the same! Also, a start-up seemed like an exciting environment to gain as much experience as possible in different areas. On the other hand, I am also interested in healthy eating and enjoy experimenting in the kitchen to try out new dishes and snacks.
Femke De Keyser
Femke (21) is a marketing student at Artevelde University College in Ghent. Besides her studies and internship, she decided to look for a student job that complements her education. Femke provides support in digital marketing, focusing on content creation.

- What does your ideal break moment look like? Getting fashion inspiration! Flipping through my favorite magazine or scrolling on Pinterest, I find that really relaxing. Creating something fun with the pieces already in my closet or finding inspiration for the next shopping spree, that gives me energy!
- What is your favorite snack? I really love eating fruit, preferably mango. If I add yogurt to it, I’m happy for several hours!
- Why did you choose JustBite for your internship? For me, it’s not really an internship; I work one day a week as a student employee. I already had a student job at Levi’s, but the concept of JustBite and its healthy snacks, plus the flexibility we get as interns, gave me more than enough reasons to take on a second student job! Now I have student jobs that both align with my passions: healthy snacks and fashion!
Naziha Kaddouri
Naziha (19) is a Communication Management student at Howest in Kortrijk. A real go-getter, she is happy to now be part of JustBite. She will do a 4-week internship here, focusing mainly on digital marketing (ads, content creation, social media, email marketing, etc.)

Why did you choose Justbite for your internship?
Healthy eating in the workplace is becoming more and more of a real trend, so I found it interesting to be part of such a budding trend and a startup company for a while and see what goes on behind the scenes. I think it's important that people know there are plenty of healthy snacks that are just as tasty or even tastier than snacks full of sugar.
